You looked at the drawing then smiled. "Oh. That's my friend. He seems pretty scary since he has no face and is really tall and has tentacles. He's really nice to me." you sat down at the table and started eating (favorite food) while Masky sat across from you. "What's his name? Does he ever hurt you in your dreams?" Masky persisted and you looked at the ground in thought. "His name is.... Slenderman. And he's really nice to me in my dreams. He plays games with me and protects me." Masky sighed in relief and stood up, hearing the front door open and close. "I’ll be back. Be a good kid and stay here." He left to go talk to Hoodie in the living room and you listened in as best as you could. “She drew this. Does this mean..” “It means he wants her here with us. He influenced her to come here.” You furrowed your brow in thought. They were talking about you and how did they know who your friend was? He was only in your dreams. The sound of approaching footsteps made you look up and you saw Masky walk in with Hoodie. “(y/n), this is Hoodie. My roommate.” You smiled at Hoodie who waved hello to you.
Hoodie and Masky lead you around the house, showing you where the bathrooms and other rooms were. You paused by Hoodie’s room and went to go turn the doorknob but Masky picked you up. “Don’t go in there. Hoodie doesn’t know how to be clean. Plus, it smells in there.” You giggled and Hoodie looked back at you two, seemingly glaring at Masky. You were set back down on the plywood floor and went to follow the two but froze in place. You heard something, something calling you. You turned on your heel and ran downstairs. “Whoa. Hey, come back!” The two men shouted after you as they dashed to you. You ignored them, bounding outside and standing a few feet away from the house. You searched the tree line for something. "Why'd you bolt off?" the two asked in unison as they stood on either side of you. You pointed up towards the sky and smiled. “He’s here to say hello to me. “ You walked to the pale, tall creature that had appeared in front of you three. Masky and Hoodie began to back away from their spots and watched as you stood looking up at Slenderman. “Don’t.” Hoodie firmly said, putting his hand on Masky’s shoulder, stopping him from getting to you. Masky glanced at him then watched you, hoping you didn’t get hurt.
You tugged on the pant leg of the Tall Man. “Do you remember me?” You asked, looking into the nonexistent face of the creature. You tensed up as a tentacle was wrapped around your torso and you were hoisted up to be face to face with Slender. ‘Ah. Little (y/n). I see you’ve finally left that terrible mother of yours and came here. How splendid.’ You smiled weakly, a pain shooting through your head. ‘I apologize for the pain that you’re having. It’s the only way I can speak to you. And, I’m sorry you had to deal with that poor excuse for a parent. I’ve been busy so I couldn’t get you from her.’ You reached out and poked Slenderman’s cheek. “It’s alright Mister. You led me to the forest from my dreams.” Slenderman set you on the cool grass and patted you on the head. ‘Be good to the two, my child. You may stay with them for as long as you please.’ You watched as the creature disappeared from your view and Masky rushed over to you, kneeling down to look into your eyes. “Are you alright? Did he tell you anything?” His eyes scanned your face for any sign of pain and you nodded. “I’m fine. He said I can stay here with you and Hoodie. Isn’t that great?" You threw your arms around his neck and hugged him. "It's really great. I'm glad you can stay." He picked you up and started to walk back to the house. "But, I'm upset with you. You nearly gave me a heart attack." You frowned and hugged him a bit tighter. "I'm sorry, vati. I didn't mean to." Masky sighed softly. "Apology accepted. Just tell us where you're going to run off to. Or you're going to be in trouble."
Masky walked into the house and nodded to Hoodie, who nodded back at him before he went back to doing Hoodie things. Masky made his way upstairs and you grunted. "I don't want to go to bed." You pouted and became dead weight in Masky's arms. "You need to get some sleep, please. I'm surprised you can still stand after Slenderman went into your mind. Just get some rest." He had a firmness in his voice that told you, "You aren't going to win this fight." You sighed and Masky placed you on the wood floor once he got into his room. You sluggishly wandered to the bed and climbed into it, a pouty look still on your face. "Awe, don't be angry at me (y/n). You need to get some sleep" You glanced at him as he walked to the other side of the bed and started to get on the bed. You quickly pulled the blankets towards you and kept them in a death grip. "No blankets for you." Despite the fact that you were trying to be serious, a smile crept onto your (s/c) face. " (y/n). Give me the blankets." "No. They're all mine. They're mad at you for putting me to bed." "Come on, give me a blanket." "No." "Now!" "No!" "I'm giving you to a count of three. One" "...." "Two" "...." "Don't make me get to three. I'm warning you. You will not like what I'll do." Still, you stayed silent and Masky sighed. "Okay. I'll let you off, for now." He laid on his side, his back to you and let out another sigh. "It's a shame though. I was going to take off my mask but never-mind now." You scooted to Masky. "Please?" Masky shrugged his shoulders. "Maybe. Maybe not." You picked up his arm and started to shake it. "Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeease." He sighed playfully and shook his head. "If you keep shaking my arm, I'm never going to take off my mask." You let his arm go and put your head on his side. "Now?" "I require one blanket."
You placed a blanket over Masky and laid back down, waiting for him to take off his mask. He struggled for a moment to get off the mask then placed it on the nightstand. He turned on his side and you poked his cheek. He looked confused for a few seconds then started to smile. "You're a weird kid, (y/n)." You grunted and he laughed. "I meant it in a good way. Now, are you ready to go to bed?" You shrugged and snuggled next to Masky. "I guess I'll go to bed. Guten nacht vati. Ich liebe dich." You yawned and started to doze off. Masky kissed the top of your head and petted your (h/c) hair. "I love you too."
