"What?! How's this possible??!!" Nokturno yells, astonished by the snow falling from the sky and covering the ground. She'd only seen scenes like this in picture books in the library before! "Did I wake up too early?! WAY too early???"

"No Nokturno," Kretinus cheers, "It's May! We just wanted to surprise you this year!"

"But- How did you-"

"Synapse let us use his Sky Breaker, dear!" Kurkulie explains, "It made a snowstorm just for you! ... Don't tell the Queen we planned this please."

Fun Fact! Nokturno is about 30 years old and has never seen snow in person before! This is because of her annual hibernation, which is 11 months long. She ALWAYS wakes up in May, when it's ALWAYS too warm! So her friends decided to play a little prank on her and bring winter to her! I think her loved ones (and doctors... same people rlly) are very mindful of her condition and often schedule things like weddings and celebrations to happen while she's awake, but naturally she does miss things like Christmas and Halloween every year.

She def had to be raised in a sorta convoluted way-- before her sleep condition showed up, she was aquatic n had to live under the waters of the stump in a sorta sanctuary spot that was protected from fish (they're HUGE so its very possible for one to eat a Krud, especially a little one) so while she was awake all year round, she didn't have many peers since amphibious Kruds are uncommon. Then when she emerged during her early childhood, she spent about a year on land before one day she suddenly collapsed, and Kurkulie and Synapse had to start monitoring her. She wants to eventually find a cure or treatment for her condition, but she feels unworthy because both doctors have to focus primarily on Queen Bakrakra's health first. Her time will come eventually, I'm sure.
