I've always had a fascination for the phoenix. The idea of rising from the ashes and gaining new life with such an elegant and majestic appearance has always been a good metaphor in life for me. I hope that my depiction of this brilliant creature does justice to the legacy it's left behind. Enjoy.Related content

i REALLY like this picture a lot.. i've been looking for good phoenix pictures for a long time, and this is probably one of the best i've come across... i've already sent this to my tattoo artist, but i wanted to contact you first to ask you if it would be okay for me to get this tattoo'd on myself.

thanks! it's funny you mention that, when I realistically shaded the tail feathers, they looked awful. so I added some unrealistic shading to make them pop, and it worked, lol. thanks again

crazy man, as said before the shading is great! The tail looks freaking amazing!

thank you! the tail's shading gave me SO much trouble, cuz the shadows made it look jagged and plain. so I added a lot of unrealistic shadows to make it smooth and flowing like it should've been.
