I originally created this piece because I didn't think it was fair that female twi'leks are always so hot, while the males usually look like Bib Fortuna or Orn Free Taa. Males get a charisma bonus in the RPG too, so why shouldn't they look like it? Of course, since then I've seen plenty of good-looking twi'lek males floating around DA (I'm looking at you, Kaernen), so it's not as revolutionary as when I first drew this.For the background, I was trying to imagine what some of the underground cities on Ryloth might look like. I don't follow the EU that much, so I'm not sure if they've already been depicted.
This character isn't really anyone specific. Maybe a future love interest for Narruna?

On the other hand, the "reason" as to why Twi'lek females are so purdy is the most stupid thing written, it's stupid like...Metal Gear Solid-stupid.
Kudos to you for finally giving us some hot twi'lek males to feast our eyes on. Even better when your artwork is stunning to begin with. But...uh...The pants. Well... Hrm, nevermind.

It's really hard to actually comment on this without saying things like "guh" but I really like that you freewheeled the womenz way as well, since the one sided attitude of Twi'lek female hotness bothered me as well.

I'm intimidated by the fact that you rock out these pictures so quickly.
I can kind of reconstruct how you did these architectural details in the background and how I could use shortcuts to approach the same effect - but what looks like a quick and very evocative SW background in this picture - nothing to draw the eye from the character, but enough detail to give the place the right kind of character and style - would have taken me 30 hours of pain and tears and still not have achieved the same. Good on you!

I love the whole environment. I never really thought about what the underground cities might look like on Ryloth, but this is a great look for them.

Awesome stuff Travis! always great to see more minority side of SW get drawn. Matching rogue bands on both the Lekku and arms, and pants - nice touch. And a tastefull additon of yellow stripping on the pants for color.
Only drawings I have seen of Ryloth's underground cities would be from the WEG books, which were black & white. If they had been in color, i'm sure your colored rendition of them is exactly how they'd have looked liked.
The little blue inset lights in the steps shining upwards I like. It goes well with the other lighting glares. Guess the air down there isn't quite clean.
