The Goliath is a walking combat unit designed to support infantry and defeat both ground and air targets. In the Koprulu Sector, it has gained a good reputation for its versatility and firepower. Despite the booking and the increased popularity of Vikings and Thors, it is still relevant and stands in the ranks of the Terran forces.

The samples of the walkers handed over to Chaos do not differ in anything other than their appearance. Although, the only difference will be the replacement of a light machine gun with a flamethrower, for close combat (if at all). 30-mm cannons calmly sew both ordinary infantry with Space Marines and light armored vehicles of the Imperium, and the Hellfire missiles have proven themselves in their effectiveness. These vehicles are equipped with the Ares guidance system, which increases the firing range of weapons, and a multiple guidance system for simultaneous attacks of ground and air troops.

However, they still have weak armor, and therefore perform the same function as Sentinels: conducting reconnaissance, supporting infantry, to detect and eliminate enemy units through ambushes and surprise attacks.

Goliath pilots take both heretic recruits and experienced Sentinel pilots who have decided to try out a "new version" of the Walker in the management. Of course, they are pre-trained and they need to get used to driving, although they do not know that soon they will grow so closely with the machine that it will be for them as part of their body.
