A new DnD character I’ve decided to make!

i used a couple of homebrews to make this work, but I’m excited to put him in a campaign to see what he can really do!

Whimsey is the direct spawn of a god, specifically one of art, creativity and ingenuity, tasked with exploring the mortal plane with a fresh new pair of eyes. While most gods tend to stay as such more or less indefinitely, the title of this god changes hands every few millennia. Even gods can run out of creative ideas to inspire their followers, or so the title holders believe, and so before that happens, they create a creature (the creature is never the same. Each god of creativity is different, and therefore so is the one they send out) to explore the world anew, gaining new ideas, experiences, and in many cases, causing no small amount of mischief.

Such is the case for whimsey the devil. Put upon the earth to experience new things, meet new people, and return to the ethereal plane with fresh new ideas to succeed the current god of creativity.

whimsy knows why he’s here, and what he’s destined to become. It’ll be a long journey, but whimsy is confident that he’ll be able to make the cut.

Being a toonkind with a matching class, whimsy can do all sorts of weird stuff with his rubbery, inky body. Fitting through cracks, taking on convincing disguises, even using portable holes and illusions to trick opponents. Incredibly naive, he’ll rely on allies to be the smarts while he provides the angst and entertainment.

Despite his name, whimsy is not inherently evil. He tends to find some small amount of joy in just about anything, and while sometimes his jokes or pranks can land him in trouble, he’s a pretty reliable little guy for the most part.
