Make no mistake! This controversy is what made me quit watching new Simpsons episodes altogether.

I originally vowed to stick with The Simpsons to the very end, but this Apu controversy was the last straw for me!

As soon as I read news last year that were confirmed false, "The Simpsons will be coming to an end", I was all "Why didn't it end years ago like it was supposed to? 30 seasons is too much for any TV show!"

Here's my recommendation to anyone who wants to get into The Simpsons:
Start watching the show at Season 1. When you get to Season 9, skip the following: "The Principal and the Pauper", "Miracle on Evergreen Terrace", "The Trouble with Trillions" and "Trash of the Titans". When you get to Season 10, skip these: "Viva Ned Flanders", "Wild Barts Can't be Broken", "Make Room for Lisa", and "Simpsons Bible Stories". Once you reach Season 11, skip the following episodes: "Treehouse of Horror X", "Alone Again, Natura-Diddly", "Missionary: Impossible", "Days of Wine and D'oh-ses", "Bart to the Future", and "Kill the Alligator and Run". When you get to Season 12, skip the following episodes: "Treehouse of Horror XI", "A Tale of 2 Springfields", "Homer versus Dignity", "The Computer Wore Menace Shoes", "The Great Money Caper", "Skinner's Sense of Snow", "HOMR", "Hungry Hungry Homer", "Trilogy of Error", and "Children of a Lesser Clod". Once you reach Season 13, skip the following: "The Parent Rap", "Brawl in the Family", "The Sweetest Apu", and "The Frying Game". Once you get to the end of "Poppa's Got a Brand New Badge", stop there. Don't bother with anything from Season 14 onward because the show comes crashing down to the ground from there.

But if you don't want to take my recommendations, I don't see any harm in that.
