Description
Here we go again. An overused made-up word. "Nostalgiatard".For those of you who don't know, a "Nostalgiatard" is someone who spends 24/7 daydreaming about the past, saying how great everything from the past was (whether it be from the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, 2000s, or even the early 2010s), and blindly tears apart anything that's new, just because it's new.
This word was created by CyberWolf087 because he doesn't like the fact there are people like this.
The only point I see with this word is, yeah, some people are just TOO nostalgic.
Here's the problem with this word; Reliving a good memory from your past isn't so bad, but call someone a nostalgiatard for that? That's ridiculous!
Another problem with this word; Some people use this word to describe someone who doesn't like Adventure Time or Regular Show. Seriously?! Regular Show ended a couple of years ago, and Adventure Time ended last year, so there's no point in calling people who don't like those shows "Nostalgiatards".
And also, some people who don't like Teen Titans Go!, The Powerpuff Girls 2016, The Loud House, or any modern show that's popular get called "Nostalgiatards". Just because someone doesn't like a specific modern thing doesn't automatically make them "Stuck in the past".
Also, why even use the word "Nostalgiatard" to describe "Stuck-in-the-past" people? It sounds so childish, and immature!

I can see what it started out as; someone who insists that all modern shows are bad and all old shows are good, no exceptions. Of course, like all insults, it's gotten used in random places.
I'm sure I've said this on another of your stamps, but I get nostalgic about modern things as well - it doesn't have to be my childhood or anything (I can easily see that there are a lot of modern things of good quality.)

That makes sense.
Also, things shouldn't be judged by what decade they're from. That's my point.

Do you think the words "nostalgia purist" makes more sense than the term "nostalgiatard"?

That's one better word. But also "Nostalgia Fanbrat".

I feel insulted people calling me that, but I usually ignore it.
Some modern stuff is alright like Regular Show, Star Wars Rebels, or Star vs Forces of Evil (I really am beginning to like that cartoon). Except Powerpuff Girls 2016 (If it's canon to the classic series.), and Teen Titans GO!.

That's why this word is overused.

Both Teen Titans Go! and The Powerpuff Girls 2016 are actually not very popular shows.
With kids, I guess they are. With older fans, mentioning either (especially among fans of the original shows) could start a flame war.

You can say that again. They are universally hated.

Personally, I'd prefer the terms "nostalgia-blind fanbrat" or "nostalgia fanbrat" or simply "nostalgic brat". But even then, not everyone who doesn't like the shows you've mentioned is one of those.
Of course, while I like "The Loud House", not only can I respect that you can't get into it, but I'm also not as big a fan of it as I once was, though I may still draw fanart of it. However, what gets to me is when someone not only doesn't like the show simply for it being newer, but also gets on their own friend's case for liking and drawing fanart of it, because that had happened to me some time ago...

Nostalgia-blind fanbrat, Nostalgia fanbrat and Nostalgic brat make more sense than "Nostalgiatard".
Oh boy. That wasn't a good thing.
