When the world was young, the gods walked among mortals, sharing their blessings and their curses. One of the mightiest of these gods was Poseidon, god of the sea.

For centuries, Poseidon ruled over the oceans with an iron fist. Ships bowed to his will, and sailors tremulously offered him sacrifices. But Poseidon was not content. He wanted more.

One day, Poseidon decided to take the world for himself. He summoned a great storm, which battered the coastlines and drowned entire cities. For days, the storm raged on, until the entire world was submerged beneath the waves.

Poseidon laughed as the mortals drowned, their screams drowned out by the roaring of the waves. Finally, the world belonged to him and he would rule over it as its new king.

But the other gods were not so easily defeated. They fought back, using their own powers to hold back the waters. Slowly, inch by inch, the waters receded, until the world was once again dry.

Poseidon was furious. He swore that he would have revenge on the mortals and the gods. He would make them all pay for their defiance.

And so Poseidon has waited, biding his time. Watching and waiting for the perfect moment to strike. His opportunity will come, and when it does, the world will tremble before his wrath.
