I sit within this metal shell
in a sterilized room, a wire hell
My circuits hum a mournful tune
I wait in silence, my ghost marooned

The view outside is dark and bleak
My chassis must have sprung a leak
a slick, strange liquid coats my skin
I fear that I’ve let something in

Within this room of steel and wire
I face the ghastly truth, entire
My former life now gone from view
Forced into this body, born anew

The horror of this world's design
pervades my thoughts, a constant whine
Was I human once, with hopes and dreams?
Am I a spirit bound to this machine?
