awesome tribute to Barrett. i'm fond of the dark side prism in there, considering he didn't make it to that album....but may he rest in peace. great work.

I love it. It's nothing less than absolutely fantastic. I like the DSOTM symbol as well - adds a touch of artistic freedom in m y humble opinion. Great piece of art!

My question is what the hell did Syd Barrett have to do with DSOTM? Nothing against him or anything, just curious.

Very nice. I hate to be a detail monger but yeah, syd had nothing to do with DSOTM. Floy's "Wish you were here" was more-so about syd. "Piper at the gates of dawn" was the only album he was an actual part of.
Nice though.

I agree that the DSOTM symbol isn't quite right. It seems to take away the orderliness of an otherwise excellent piece. But in the same way that it takes away from the picture, it is somewhat symbolic of Syd. He was an insightful, taunted soul who never quite fit in.
The facial expression is very well done, and the eyes are nicely expressive, as though it is a photograph, of the mind and soul that lies beyond them.

wow this drawing is beautiful. Everything is well done and fits nicely in the picture. We can see the sickness painted all over his face. The glassy eyes looking at nothing in particular are what I prefer the most.

Oh god. This is gorgeous. Everything about it is phenominal. The gritty shading and the troubled and slightly fascinated expression really convey what he went through during the later parts of his career. I love all of the dark, depressing colours and the placement of the DSoTM logo. Also adore your use of several different mediums. Wonderful work.

I like the DSOTM reference, I always thought the albums themes of life and the descent into insanity somewhat parrelled Barretts life a bit. Good job man.

gah! I love this. The textures and colours work really well. I love how you did his eyes, cause something about them looks slightly off and it gives him this really subtley weird look, which is perfect for syd.
Where you placed the dark-side of the moon prism really bugs me though. It's distracting, it would look much better without it.
