This time, I drew a Wendigo. In case you don't know, what a Wendigo is, it's a malevolent Native American mythological creature or spirit that originates from Algonquian folklore in regions of America and Canada. It symbolizes what is the most evil thing in the world, cannibalism. They normally start out as a human who becomes possessed by the spirit in a form of cabin fever known as the "Wendigo Psychosis". Typically what happens is that someone is trapped or isolated with people for very long periods, they run out of food and then all of a sudden someone will start to develop a belief that they're going to turn into a monster and then eat people around them in a very dangerous illusion. Wendigo is insatiable it wants meat, flesh, and blood it's never satisfied with the amount of what it can eat, and it appears in time and space where its prey are so when the Wendigo has its sights on you there is no escape from it. Wendigo psychosis is described as a culture-bound syndrome. In some First Nations communities, symptoms such as insatiable greed and destruction of the environment are also thought to be symptoms of wendigo psychosis. You can think of a way the wendigo psychosis is a form of compulsion believing once they eat human meat, they're never gonna stop eating, and never get enough, in a way similar to how we are addicted to coffee or people who are addicted to drugs.

For designing the Wendigo I looked up Moose, elk, and deer skulls, and I even almost went for Elias Ainsworth from Ancient Magus Bride. I intend to make the skin dark, with a little bit of fur, a rib cage on the chest to symbolize its hunger for flesh and glowing red eyes. Then give it a deer skull look and have it hold a Native American Indian in his hand.

There are also some movies, video games, and TV shows that feature this creature, and I recommend watching Antlers which is a great Wendigo movie.
