The lost solomons rings had religious significance. The original Solomon brother founded a religion that continues today as one of the world's largest religions- Christianity. Other than gold and stone, the most important religious symbol for Christians is the ring. Jesus wore a ring when he walked this earth and it's mentioned several times in the New Testament. The main characters in the Bible all wear rings- from Moses' heavy stone to Jesus' crowning glory. Many religious paintings show Jesus wearing a ring with a crucified hand protruding from it. This symbolism has survived through the centuries even though modern Christians don't wear rings anymore.
