I sometimes wonder why it takes me so long to realise that a medium I have in my stash is one that I love to work with yet rarely do.The Chameleon Color Tones markers have worked really well, I think, on these drawings done on Distress Ink backgrounds.
Marker pens are so much more controllable than water-based media, and that control suits me and my artistic style.
I love the effects that water-based media can give, and wish I could work with them effectively. I keep trying, and trying, and trying and get more and more frustrated with them. The same is true of other media, apart from digital!
I was struck with how similar to digital coloring the markers are. Duh goes me. Sometimes I can be really, really dense and stubborn.
So, after saying this time and time again, I may have found my traditional coloring superpower in the form of marker pens. Must remember to stay away from other traditional media for an extended period of time and work only with pen drawings and marker pens to add colour!
