Seeing an amber eyed black cat prone on the floor, bleeding out... well, he could almost feel the own blood on his paws again, spilling from his mouth.But that cat had had no name, no reason for Klaus to have wanted him alive. This was different. The way Klaus stood frozen as Oordeel, the God of Judgement bled out, as his breathing halted -- that wasn't... To Klaus, it was like watching his parents die again.
He felt like a kit again as he bounded up, all else ignored, without even the weakness in his heart to cry -- just a cold, resounding hollowness, his limbs stuff, his eyes wide and unblinking and sore. Not even Beast could fill that hole now.
The cats around him, they were shouting and screaming so fucking loud. Klaus could hardly take it. He dropped to his paws, to the false god's lifeless body, and buried his head in the cat's short fur. It was all he could do to mourn. As a kit, it was all he had been able to do for his father.

I have been so invested in Klaus since TRIAL ONE and seeing how he reacts to everything unfolding in the end is so emotional,,, I love this boy and I'm so happy he's made it this far even though he's making me sad
