Season 2 of my Realistic Pokemon series begins with Flygon.
Flygon are a large, desert dwelling dragon. Though of a similar length and habitat to adult male Garchomps, Garchomps have much more mass and are much more aggressive. Adult Flygon are seldom seen setting foot on the ground, due to their natural proclivity towards levitation. Science has not yet discovered the nuances of their helium bladder, though it is known that Flygon's helium bladders are much more efficient than their juvenile state, Vibrava. Flygon skim the desert surface of the desert, diving into the loose sands for prey. They are adept sand swimmers, though they only utilize this skill to collect meals. Flygon have developed a transparent membrane over their sensitive eyes, it acts as a hardy shield from the course sands of its environment.
Trapinch are the earliest stage in the life cycle of a Flygon. They possess a grossly enlarged head which is used as a makeshift sand trap. A Trapinch will burrow into the sands creating a pit of loose sand. It will then reveal only its head while it grips deep roots. Anything Pokemon unlucky enough to stumble upon its pit are swallowed into the maw of the Trapinch. They have even developed clever false eye camouflage to hide the location of their real eye, a trapped Pokemon may try to attack its eyes to break free.
A Trapinch will spend a minimum of 35 months buried in the sand before it has grown large enough wings and a helium bladder to hunt with its trap. This stage of life is known as a Vibrava. Vibrava will develop two large nasal crests, which eventually recede and reappear on the back of the cranium as Flygon. Vibrava its not capable of suspended flight like Flygon, but its smaller wings can be moved with great speed causing vibrations. They will use these vibration to disorient small desert dwelling Pokemon such as idiot Cacneas. This is the noise a Cacnea will make as it desperately fights for its meaningless life.
There are also some other little desert Pokemon in there, but who cares about those ones.

Except for the part when Flygon and his earlier forms are based on bugs...? Their not a bug type but they are based on the Ant Lion (not to be confused with a dragonfly). An Ant Lion larva is a small insect with large pincher that hunts below the sand (trapinch) and when fully matured, closely resemble a dragonfly and remain in desert environment. This explains Trapinch's "Ground" typing and Vibrava and Flygon's "Ground/Dragon" typing.
They both look SOOOOO much like a fucking bug so WHY THE HELL WOULD YOU MAKE THEM A LIZZARD. YOU ARE GOING TO CONFUSE THE SHIT OUT OF EVERYONE WHO LOOKS AT YOUR PHOTOS.
This photo is cool, don't get me wrong. I LOVE the crativity put into it. But the fact that you destroyed the lore and concept to these pokemon breaks my heart. That's not Flygon, Vibrava, or Trapinch anymore. Those are just lizzards in a cool drawing.

I am very well aware that flygon is based on an antlion.Β However both flygon and trapinch look more reptilian than insectoid, so I went with that.

Yeah, but is it 25 hours straight or over a few days *shoulda rephrased my original question*
π: 0 β©: 1
thecatsaid In reply to mudkipenator [2015-03-18 05:28:16 +0000 UTC]
a day is 24 hours. He worked on it 25 hours, so for him to be working on it 25 hours it would mean it was longer than one day, which is a couple, or a few days, to answer. And if he worked on it for 25 hours on it that would be 11- 18 hours of no sleep (normal amount of hours somebody sleeps (at least from my resources (which are my friends))). I doubt that he didnt sleep, or else it wouldnt be such good quality, so i'm guessing it did take him longer then one day.
hope this helped

Thanks to Silver-Armed-King for (unintentionally) telling me that the thing that Sandshrew is sitting on is Dwebble. Β
I STILL don't know why Vibrava resembles a dragonfly. But I'm not like SOME IDIOTS *sarcastic applause for ninjaguy* who think that the Flygon family should be part Bug-type.
Edit: At first, I thought that the Dwebble looked like some sort of land-Clauncher. lol

Flygon and vibrava are not based on dragonflies, they are antlions.Β They still aren't bug type.

randomguye0 In reply to kingdomheartssorable [2015-02-27 13:53:17 +0000 UTC]
Ninjaguy, at first the criticism was minimally constructive. Minimally. Now you're just criticizing for the sake of it. People don't just criticize stuff because everything has to be criticized.
Also, about Skorupi being part Bug-type, Bug is really just a generic term used by Game Freak for any vaguely insectile. They're not idiots, of course they know that spiders and scorpions are arachnids.
BTW, unless people have a lot of spare time, I don't really expect anymore replies on this thread. It's pointless, all because an idiot with bad spelling tried to attract attention.

Dude, he's doing his pokΓ©mons for fun.
His game art, like for Saurian is his true job.
The fanart is just, what he does in his free time.
And he's popular, because he's one of the first people, who draw realistic pokΓ©mon, that are scientifically plausible.
