nororo is a mythical/a deity figure, and makes a common appearance in barstool fairytales. they are the go-to for explanations of disaster, and most sudden illnesses tend to be brushed off as the work of nororo.

they are a shapeshifter, and assume a primarily keronian form. nororo is said to guard particular treasures of unknown value, in a temple that few know the whereabouts of. a keeper of presumed secrets, nororo is typically untrustworthy, but it's highly likely you'll never encounter them.

nobody knows what nororo looks like. it is said that their body will twist when deceived, and that one who is caught lying to them will have misfortune brought upon them. their wings see all, and their eyes see beyond.

it is told that, in more factual tales, nororo will curse those who dare lie to them. there are stories of adventurers who have crossed paths with nororo, who have stolen from their treasury, who have not been truthful, and have been punished with physical scarring for life.

as a team of spelunkers and treasure hunters, chikuku and his gang are no exception to nororo's curse.

chikuku is punished for his blatant deceit, whilst pojiji's firstborn will meet a similar fate upon entering adulthood.

pojiji and nikuku still can't fathom why they themselves weren't punished.

chikuku just cares about the fact he managed to steal the book they were looking for.
