Chime tossed and turned, yet she couldnt drift away in her slumber. All the wynglings around her were sleeping as soundly as a log in the cold winter, yet she could not find herself to feel the same. She soon gave up and sat upright, getting worried for some reason. It'd been getting a little harder for her to sleep nowadays for some reason.
Her rustling awoke the little purple wyngling beside her. She turned quickly over, acting as if she were asleep, but she had been too slow and Kora had caught her.
"Chime, why are you awake?" She asked in a sleepy, hushed whisper.
Chime winced, and then turned to face her. "I just cant sleep I guess.." she whispered back admittedly.
"What's up with you? You've been acting kinda strange lately.." Kora replied, rubbing her little neon eyes that seemed to glisten through the dark room.
"I.." Chime started, but then decided it was too late in the night for that. "It's nothing. You head back to bed." Chime finished her sentence. Kora hesitated, but then turned over.
Chime herself sat upright, turning around and looking at the window behind her. Someone had forgot to shut it.
The night sky shone deeply through the dark room, speckled with dots of brightness from the stars like slight droplets of rain.
it was gonna be a long night.
