There's going to be plenty of fanon Sonic forms here... fasten your seatbelts.

#1. Ascended Super Sonic (art by Grunty Art). Brought up in my last Alterverse fact, I didn't really tell you the story of how Sonic got this. Well, the short version is Sonic ended up getting involved during the Android & Cell Sagas after the events of Adventure, and instead of Goku going in the Time Chamber with Gohan, Sonic does instead while Goku goes in with Piccolo. Sonic does the same training Goku did with Gohan in the original story, and a little extra. Thus, instead of just leaving the chamber with Super Saiyan Grade 4, Gohan leaves the chamber with that & Super Saiyan 2, while Sonic leaves the chamber with his Ascended Super form. The long version, however... well, that's for another day.

#2. Supercharged Sonic (sprite by - check him out, he makes cool stuff). The reason why I used the original Super Sonic 4 design (all gray fur with red eyeliner) instead of the Super Sonic 3 design (which is what I used for Ascended Super Sonic instead of the Super Sonic 2 design) is simply for variety. That, and I think this looks cool. Anyways, I don't exactly know how Sonic would get this form yet.

#3. Ultimate Sonic (sprite by - gotta say, your Phase 4 Sonic sprites are cool). In the Alterverse, this is the first of Sonic's Limit Breaker forms (concept by , who also makes some cool stuff) and a precursor to his Omni Form... more on that later. Sonic gets this during the events of the Alterverse's rework of Sonic Forces, where - after being defeated by Infinite and captured - he meets up with an old friend of his who not only still looks up to him, but also met the same fate - Shade the Echidna. Together during the timeskip, the two work on improving Sonic's Supercharged form until Sonic eventually gets this, leading to the two escaping the Death Egg.

#4. Ascended Super Shadow (art by Grunty Art). During the timeskip between Adventure 2 & Heroes, Eggman eventually managed to get data on Sonic's Ascended Super Form. This means that while Shadow was healing, Eggman also gave him a little boost in power.

#5. Supercharged Shadow (sprite by , and this has to be my favorite of his Phase 4 Shadow sprites). Much like Sonic, I'm not sure how Shadow would get the Supercharged form yet. However, I do know that he would be the first to get it.

#6. Ultimate Shadow (sprite by - all your Phase 4 Shadow sprites are so cool, so I just picked my favorite of them for this one). Again, much like Sonic, this is the first of Shadow's Limit Breaker forms. Unlike Sonic's Ultimate form however, it doesn't lead into his own version of Omni... which Shadow's fine with, as that means he can find his own way to even the power gap between the two. After spending some time with his student - Ringo - and his friends in Team Dark, he eventually did... but I'll discuss that later.

#7. Hyper Scourge (sprite by - can't wait to see this form in SASB). I think I'll tell you all a little story on how this form came to be in the Alterverse. A year after the events of Forces, Scourge eventually arrived in the Mobius of the Alterverse after being freed from Zone Jail, and he was quick to pick a fight with Shadow, believing this was the same Shadow he fought before (i.e. Archie Sonic Issues 195 & 196) & because since Sonic was off on his own at the moment, him fighting Shadow was the next best thing to do. However, as the two fought & Shadow cycled through all his forms, Scourge was shocked to find out that this Shadow was stronger than he ever realized, especially when Shadow went into Ultimate. Even though Scourge managed to go Super and even land a few hits, it still wasn't enough, especially since Scourge still used what little Anarchy Beryl he had left in his possession to transform into his Super form.

Shadow was impressed, and he hoped that Scourge would get stronger so that the two would fight again someday. As Scourge wandered off on his own, he eventually ended up on Angel Island and wondered. "Is there anyway I can get stronger?" Scourge thought. He then heard a voice. "It seems like your time in jail has changed you as a person, Scourge... or was it Anti-Sonic?" the voice said as the hedgehog reacted in shock. As it turned out, a spirit appeared and manifested itself next to Scourge, and introduced herself as Tikal. Scourge said he didn't recognize her, but Tikal tells him that her Archie counterpart oversaw his attempt to transform into a Super Form using the Master Emerald. Scourge was surprised that his universe's Tikal even knew about that, and Tikal continued: overtime, this world's Sonic & Shadow have gotten vastly stronger with help from others, ascending beyond the Super transformation.

Scourge said he was well aware of that, but he wants to know how he can do the same. Tikal then gets an idea: "If I remember correctly, there was one time all 7 Chaos Emeralds turned into Super Emeralds when Sonic brought them to the Master Emerald Altar," Tikal told Scourge. "Once Sonic got all 7 Super Emeralds, he powered up into Hyper Sonic and managed to stop Dr. Eggman's plans. However, as a side effect, the Super Emeralds became dormant and have been since." Scourge was intrigued by all this. He asked Tikal: "Is there another way to get the form?" All Tikal gave before leaving him to his own devices was a smile and two hints: the Master Emerald and his own willpower. After Tikal left, Scourge grabbed the Anarchy Beryl he had with him and tossed it into the ocean, no longer having any use for it. Standing on top of the Master Emerald, he turned into his Super Form and then pushed his determination to its absolute limits. Knuckles was the first to sense this awakening, and headed back to Angel Island to see Scourge in his new Hyper form.

#8. Omni Sonic (created by , sprite by aka DoubleSAnimations). Much like I said before when discussing Ultimate Sonic, this is Sonic's second Limit Breaker form, coming after Ultimate in his Transformation line. Combining Ultimate with the powers of Hyper & Darkspine gets Sonic his Omni form, and simply calling this form just powerful is a bit of an understatement. Just to give you a hint of how powerful this form is in the Alterverse (foreshadowing, by the way), Terios in his Superior form (an emerald green version of the Super form & unrelated to Knuckles' Chaos form) is stronger than Ultimate Sonic, Ultimate Shadow & Super Ringo combined. When Sonic goes into his Omni form, he's able to single handedly humiliate the prototype.

#9. Pure Chaos Shadow (sprite edit by , screenshot is from here ), Shadow's second Limit Breaker form. After the events of Puyo Puyo Tetris 2, Ringo does end up training with Shadow again... but she quickly finds out he's been doing intense training himself. Though he can't power up his Super form anymore than he has already, Shadow found a way to power up his base form up. He takes off the two inhibitor rings on his wrists and tries to transform by tapping into the power of the Master Emerald. While it looks like Shadow is turning Super at first due to the golden aura, Ringo is shocked to see the differences once Shadow is done transforming, especially once she sees the quills on both sides of his head have gotten considerably longer & the stripes on his head turned gold & white. Putting the Inhibitor Rings back on, Shadow introduces Ringo to his new Pure Chaos form.

#10. Nous Silver (Time Warp Silver sprites by aka DoubleSAnimations, screenshot is from here ), Silver's Limit Breaker form. Watching how strong Sonic & Shadow have gotten, Silver wanted to try to get one of his own. Venice then remembered something Chronoa told him, and told Silver this: the Time Stones & the Master Emerald still exist in their future. This gives Silver an idea. Going back to his future, he decides to go to Little Planet, grabbing the Time Stones there.

Along the way he destroys all the Badnik Generators and once he's done on Little Planet, he breaks the chain holding it in place. He's still surprised that the Sonic of the good future collecting the Time Stones caused his future to happen, but decides to focus on that later. Eventually, he gets to the Master Emerald on Angel Island, placing the Purple Chaos Emerald that was missing on the Altar next to the others. Letting all 15 gems resonate with his courageous heart & longing to protect not just the future but time itself, Silver achieved a form that not only gives him greater strength, but also greater intellect (fun fact: in Greek philosophy, "nous" means "intellect"), better control over his psychokinesis, and even being able to control time itself.
