"Uh-" Tanya froze and glanced back from where she was crouching, like a cat caught in the act of doing something naughty. She blinked a few times then reluctantly turned around, still clutching the glowy thing.

Riniel fluttered over to examine the glowing object, or what she thought was an object. "Miss Tanya...open your claws, please. I hear muffled pleas for help."

Said speaker of muffled pleas were wriggling and pushing against Tanya's hand-made prison.

Riniel gasped as she saw what was in the claws of the other, "A...i-it couldn't be!"

In Tanya's hands was a little humanoid with propeller...cowlicks, body glowing like a bright candle. "Please, help me!" the tiny voice cried as they took flight once more and around the two.

(OoC:...That awkward moment when you realize how VERY strange a Stray Fairy's design is when you describe with "propeller cowlicks.")

Tanya didn't say anything, she just frowned in puzzlement at the little glowing being as she tried to figure out what exactly it was. It flew and glowed like a fairy but- Tanya's eyes flicked to Riniel briefly- but it didn't really look like any kind of fairy she'd seen before? 

(( I just though that Stray Fairies had wings on top of their heads or something. ))

(OoC: The things on their heads do look like wings, but...wings go on the back? Or in some Great Fairy's cases, just float without the use of them. Why the head...?)

"A...Stray Fairy..." Riniel breathed softly as she gathered the glowing one in her own hands now, "By Farore, who did this to you?"

"Another dark magic has crawled through and has been silent, until now!" the Stray Fairy explained with a sad tone.

"From where do you hail?" Riniel questioned.

"I'm from the fountain nearest to this land, to the north!"

"Then north we go!" Riniel proclaimed boldly, then looked to Tanya, "Um...would you like to join? I'll make sure the other Fairies don't try anything with you, promise."

"Stray? What, do fairies look different when they get lost or something, nyeh...?" Tanya mumbled. She glanced around, then, more clearly, "Keh, I don't know how to get back to the Great Sea from here, nyeh... I guess I could follow for a while..."

"Thank you both!" the Stray Fairy squeaked as she perched herself on Riniel's shoulder.

"Right, so we're here..." Riniel looked around to try and figure out which way would be north, "So, north would beeee...?" she glanced over to the Miniblin with navigation experience.

(OoC:...The two of them trying to wear the mask should be interesting. xD)

Tanya raised an eyebrow, thoroughly unimpressed with Riniel's navigation skills. She glanced at the sky to check the position of the sun, and then pointed in a direction.

(( Tanya would probably refuse to wear any masks that she deems "stupid", haha. Spooky or creepy looking masks, on the other hand... ))

"That way!" Riniel mimicked Tanya's pointing, then fluttered in that direction, though slower than usual so that she didn't accidentally send the Stray Fairy tumbling off her shoulder.

Tanya rolled her eyes, and followed the fairy. She glanced around a bit warily though, nervous of being spotted by the townsfolk.

(( Quick question, did Riniel change to her larger form earlier when Tanya wasn't looking, or is the Stray Fairy just super small? ))

As they got closer to their intended location, the worry for humans started easing up due to no one (adult-aged, anyway) was around that area.

"I can see why you'd have a fountain here, it's a safe and natural place." Riniel commented as the trio went through the entrance way.

"Looks can be deceiving, my fellow Fairy. At night, things change for the worst much like the field outside the city walls."

"Huh, strange. Hyrule Field is like that as well. Are all places connected to Hyrule deadly after dark?" Riniel mused.

"Night's the best time to be out an' about, nyah," Tanya commented, as if it were the most obvious thing in the world. She halted at the entrance to the Fairy Fountain, though, fur bristling. "...I ain't going in there, nyeh."

Riniel was about to comment when she mentally hit herself upside the head and remembered than Tanya's a Miniblin, of course she'd enjoy the night life better. "It's okay, you can...survey the area?" she suggested with a weak smile as the Stray Fairy went ahead inside.

"Yeah, sure, whatever," she said as she leaned against her pitchfork, acting bored. She wrinkled her nose in disgust. "Bleh, I can sense the light magic from here. I think I'll look around a bit while you do your sparkly fairy business or whatever, nyeh."

As Riniel flew into the fountain, she was greeted by seeing a little over a dozen Stray Fairies swirling around and about in the air until they materialized into the Great Fairy of that area. She mentally questioned the fashion sense of her metaphorical upperclassman while listening to the very odd laugh emitting from the ivy-covered being.

"Thank you, my fellow Fairy, for bringing me back together!" she cooed while floating above the waters and holding Riniel's hands in her own.

"It was nothing, anything for my own kind!" Riniel smiled a little bit and made a mental note that Great Fairies keep their nails oddly long, along with a shade of pink that would hurt her eyes if she wasn't use to Lily's glow.

"Just one question, my friend...why are you traveling with a Miniblin?"

"She's proven herself to not be hostile unless provoked, has a sense of loyalty, leadership, and is the fact we're even in this fountain to begin with due to her navigational experience." Riniel stated, sounding just a tad blunt in tone.

"Ah, yes..." the Great Fairy nodded with a somewhat weak smile, "that last point is rather solid proof."

Riniel just grinned in response.

"In which case, both of you have earned my thanks! However, she seems less than keen about entering, hmm..." the Great Fairy had to think on this.

(OoC:...What IS Tanya gonna do while waiting for this scene to play out? Harass Tingle? )

(( The Great Fairy has Great Skepticism, ahaha. Tanya knows that Great Fairies don't like monsters, and isn't keen on intruding somewhere where a powerful being of light magic dwells. And as funny as it'd be to see Tanya interact with Tingle, she's probably going to still be trying to avoid people. ))

Tanya decided to sniff around the tall grass in North Clock Town while waiting. She found some green Rupees, but frowned when she realized she didn't have her bag with her, just her pitchfork. She eyed the nearby houses in thought, before scurrying over to them to investigate... their garbage cans.

(( Guess she's going dumpster diving, haha. Also, do you think transformation masks should be a thing in this RP? If so, they don't necessarily have to be the Deku/Goron/Zora Masks. ))

(OoC: I dunno...I mean, I'd think the mask would've kind of went into a state of non-existence after Link saved Termina. Unless he left them behind with the respective tribes as a mean to have them remember the people behind the masks, I don't see how they could be alive...or work for anyone other than him? Though chances are Tanya would enjoy being a Goron for their strength and a Zora for the whole underwater breathing/zapping enemies thing.)

"My blessings usually involve magic, but chances are you don't need it," the Great Fairy motioned to the wand resting on Riniel's side, "or your Miniblin companion either. Hmm..." she snapped her fingers when an idea hit her, which also acted as a means to create a pouch. "Here we go! It's a magical pouch, just say the name of something and it will store whatever you desire. Everything and anything will be safe and sound inside."

"Ooo!" Riniel looked the bag over with a bit of childlike enthusiasm. The material was soft and smooth under her fingers, but she could sense a twinge of magic woven into the fabric. "Miss Tanya will really like this, chances are she'll store a lot in it!"

(OoC: Behold, a hammerspace bag for their adventure! Well, an additional one? Riniel would kind of have one being a Zelda character, but at the same time it wouldn't be like Link's. Am I making sense?)

(( Hmm, yeah, the masks that Link used probably wouldn't be around anymore, huh? If there were other transformation masks, we could just explain them with "magic", haha, rather than them having someone's soul inside or something. ))

Meanwhile Tanya had knocked over some trash cans, but hadn't found a bag or anything similar as she had hoped. However she did find an empty bottle and some discarded food. Now she was happily munching on a soggy half-sandwich.

(( Oh, how convenient! Tanya would very much like a magic pouch, haha. So is Riniel's hammerspace similar to Link's, but.... smaller, I guess? ))

(OoC: Yeah, especially since soul-collection would NOT go over well due to the two of them lacking any sort of magical instrument...or knowing the right song.)

After Riniel thanked the Great Fairy once again for the new item, Riniel zipped out and looked for the mischievous Miniblin. "Miss Tanya, Miss Taaaaanyaaaaaaa! We got an item you'll adore~!"

(OoC: Compared to BotW Link's, very much so. As for previous incarnations, ehhh...not sure. She doesn't really carry much on her person to begin with, just a hammerspace that has  a few health potions and light snacks and then her Rupee bag (which holds 300, girl's got a family to support after all). So, yes, it's smaller??)

After finishing off the sandwich, Tanya had started rummaging around in the tall grass again, and looked up when she heard Riniel calling. Oh- judging from that half beetle sticking out of her mouth, she must've been snacking on bugs.

Tanya swallowed the rest of the beetle and stood up, looking at the pouch curiously. "Magical item, nyeh?" Now that she was standing, it could be seen that in one hand the Miniblin was holding a bottle... that was filled with bugs. Must be for on-the-go snacking. Lovely.

(( I like how Riniel doesn't even say anything about the beetle, only pauses for a moment. She must be used to thing kind of stuff from Tanya by now, huh? ))

(OoC: Good point, hmm...well, why not just some minor things in each of the lands? Like, finding people's lost treasures (so that Tanya's skills can come in handy) or trying to get something from the Gerudo Thieves? Then again, that would kind of come off as a suicide mission there...)

At least she'll stay fed for some time. Riniel thought as she held the pouch out to Tanya, "It'll hold whatever we want in it, we just need to say the item's name to let it in and out."

(( Yeah, the Gerudos would probably just straight up kill both of them if they got caught. Hmm... maybe they need to find a special item in each of the lands to defeat that "evil" that the Stray Fairy mentioned earlier? Or maybe they help each of the Great Fairies in each of the lands so that the Great Fairies can help defeat the evil and/or send the two of them back home? ))

The Miniblin examined the pouch curiously. "Really? So you could put, say," she held up the bottle with a grin, "a jar of bugs in it, nyeh?"

(OoC: I don't see why not. Hmm, what would be some Fairy-related items to collect? It all depends on the mythos, really, of what is and isn't linked to them. There seems to be a general consensus through all of that that there's a connection to water, bright lights, shiny items and insect (or insect-like) wings. Maybe they have to collect something kind of water from the swamp, a reflective surface from the canyon, a crystal from the volcano and...hmm...some kind of magical wings from the forest/jungle? I dunno, I was just coming up with random objects. )

Riniel nodded, "And chances are they'd stay as fresh as you caught them. You can keep the pouch, if you like. I have one of my own as is. Well, two, if you count my Rupee Bag?"

Plus I'm not sure Nayru would grant time travel requests to a filthy demon, just sayin'. And that's not just me trying to piss Tanya off, I don't think playing the Song of Time would've helped anyone other than Link because he's the Hero of Time and the goddesses love him.
