Min tried to keep her breathing steady as she let Nim guide her through the crowded streets, following the aipom best she could. They were outside, yes, but... she had never experienced crowds like this before. So much noise, she could barely move without feeling like she was going to brush against someone. Mother always insisted on her and Nim staying in the garden or sticking to one room when they had a large amount of guests over. She could tell it was stressing Nim out slightly as she struggled to maintain the expected upright back-facing posture yet having to also time glances in the opposite direction to see ahead of the body.
“Do keep up, Lady Min. The announcement shall commence soon.”
”Announcement?”
”Your father advised that we signed up for the guild activities. Give you some experience and training out on the field instead of the studies that you seem to so frivolously avoid.”
