Description
A couple weeks after Mako and Bubble started dating, Mako goes out into the ocean to look for more sunken treasures , his occupation and special talent the restoration of rusted metals and sunken treasures. Mako fights with the current as the waves pull and push against his body as he crawls along the volcanic ocean bottom. He doesn't normally stay this close to the coast, but he doesn't plan on staying out late today. He recently had a run in with his adoptive sister, Lady, who he hasn't seen in many MANY years and he hopes to spend more time with her. Something catches his eye, as he swims closer to the coast, the shadows of surfers on their boards over head. What could it be? A rare treasure? A shiny pearl? To Mako's disappointment, he unearths an empty beer can. It wasn't even a good brand. Bloody tourists... Suddenly, Mako feels his body being pulled by the underwater current, a large wave starting to form. He tries to grab hold of the rocky form, but inevitably slips and gets sucked into the wave.

And a beautiful wave it was! Kiwi Breeze has been waiting for such a wave all day and she wasn't about to miss it. As she climbs onto her board and catches the current, she rides along the rushing water, feeling the wind in her wings and mane . It wasn't until it was too late until she saw a form being dragged next to her. It startled her, having her loose her balance and fly off her board, colliding into the orcapony.....

Mako: *laying on his back on the soft wet sand, mumbling to himself* Ugh.. what is this heavy feeling... *as he opens his eyes, to be rewarded by a face full of breasts pressed against him* !!!!! *flustered dolphin squeaks*

Kiwi: *groans as she finds her bearings.* Son of a perch... I swear to the goddesses, if that's not a fin I feel between my legs....

Mako: *FLUSTERED DOLPHIN SQUEAKS* IT'S A TAIL! I swear, its just a tail!

Kiwi: The fluff is wrong with you?!

Mako: *blushes* That wasn't really my fault.. But if you don't mind, please get off me?

Kiwi: *grumbles* Of course it wasn't.. *rolls off, going to her board and checking for any dents and scratches* Where did you learn to swim, the kiddy pool?

Mako: *sits up, letting out a groan as he rubbed his dorsal fin* Huh, nice joke.. now try that with less sarcasm and attitude. Bloody tart... *then quietly mumbles* Don't know how to surf...

Kiwi: *fluffs up and spin around, glaring at him* ex-CUSE me?! I was surfing just fine until you decided to get your fat tail in the way. It's hard enough maneuvering around amateur surfers without having to worry about blow holes like you.

Mako: *twitch his ears as he looked at her with tense eyes, his voice brimming with sarcasm now as he smiled* Oh! I'm sorry! I guess I just felt like telling the current to pull me into the wave! Silly me! *His smile dropped as he growled* Maybe remember next time you're in the OCEAN, Chicken Strips! Anything can happen in it at any time. Maybe if you respected the waves as much as you try surfing them you'd know that.

Kiwi: Oh yes, just I'm a pegasus, I don't know the ways of the ocean. I've been surfing on these waves then before you were born, son. *Since Mako looks to be 25*

Mako: *looks her up and down, eye twitching* Now THAT I can believe.

Kiwi: *WHACK as she hits him with her surfboard* You bottom-feeding brat!

Mako: *lets out a loud groan, rubbing his head* Hey! I was being nice before, maybe check your attitude before blaming someone for something that wasn't their fault ya daft junky!

Kiwi: *voice dripping with sarcasm as she sticks her surf board into the wet sand* Oh yesss, you are just overflowing with grace and pose as you stuffed your snout in my bosom! *her cheeks a little pink with blush, crossing her arms.*

Mako: Tch! You're one to talk, you were in no hurry to get off me until I asked you to. Don't flatter yourself. *He'd stand up and squeeze water out of his hair* You know, for someone who claims to be adult you have very poor manners.... so childish..

Kiwi: *fluffs up and open her mouth like she was going to retort back, when she hears a voice in the distance*

???: Duuuuuuuude!

Kiwi: *her face drops* ... ugh...

Mako: *turns to see an Octo-pony * Oh, Uhm. Hey.

Reef: hows it going, man? *as he nods at Mako* But Dudette, that was radical, did you see the size of that wave?! You like toootally wiped out.

Mako: *glance at Kiwi, giving a slight glare, but sounding really calm* A wave like that is pretty crazy. Could wipe out ANYONE.

Kiwi: *glares back, eye twitching* Yeah... I know. I would have nailed it if it wasn't for SOME one...

Mako: Friendly reminder, AGAIN, things happen that no one can control, especially in the water. So how about not placing blame on someone, huh? *in his head thinking "witch!"*

Reef: Dude, duuuuudes, I'm starting to feel a lot of tension going on here. I think we need to take a moment and calm our chakras. You know, man? *as he puts a hand on Mako and Kiwi's arm, his tentacles giving a little twitch and wiggling around*

Kiwi: There is NO tension here, Reef. The guy is just too block-headed and dense to see that he was obviously in the wrong here... *as she grumbles* Probably drank too much sea water..

Mako: There it is again, that attitude of a child, when someone is being polite. You sure you're not just cranky because you're aging faster than you can catch a wave?

Kiwi: WHY YOU LITTLE-- MRRRF! *As Reef wraps an arm around Kiwi, pulling her in close*

Reef: Duuuuudes, that's not how behave. We are all children of the ocean.

Mako: *cross his arms and turn his head away from Kiwi in a pout, mumbling* Or HARPY in her case... *Suddenly Mako feels a tentacle wrap around his arm and pulling him down, an arm wrapping around him and pulling him in close to the octopony*

Reef: I think we just need to calm down and hug it out, guys. We are like the ocean, pushing and pulling against the currents of life. *A tentacle wraps around Mako's waist and chest, the suction cups latching to his wet skin*

Mako *INTERNAL SILENT SCREAMING*

Kiwi: *squawks and squirms* REEF! Let go of me, or I swear to-- MMMPH!! Mmm MMMph! *as a tentacle wraps around her face, covering her mouth.

Reef: Hush Kiwi, its friendly hug time~ Deep breaths, my seapony brethren, through your nose.

Mako: *his eyes are open wide, his ears twitching frantically. He's seen octo-ponies but he's never felt what it was like to be hugged by one*.......O-okay.... *as he took deep breathes as a few more tentacles wrapped around them, a few latching on the side of Mako's face and tail.

Kiwi: *as she squirmed, the tentacle would tighten a little, her face turning more and more red.* MMMMPH!!!

Mako: *would keep talking deep breathes, getting calmer, even though on the inside he's a tiny bit freaked out at how the suction cups feel on his skin.* ...I think I'm okay.. *before turning to Kiwi.* But WHAT is your problem? It was an accident neither of us could've prevented.

Reef: *chuckles* This little dudette takes her surfing very seriously, bra. She is like one with the ocean, they speak to each other on a spiritual sense, you know?

Kiwi: *rolls her eyes at him, tapping her hoof and twitching her ear* mmm, mm MRRPH!

Reef: Oh yeah, totally bra. There is like.. also the fact that there is a big surfing competition going on right now during the Friendship Festival, I'm sure you've heard of it bra.

Mako: *twitches his ear* Yes, I've seen it happen ever since I came here. I've been part of it before, but i stopped going after meeting over-competitive ponies like her. Hitting someone with their surf board when they're in the wrong isn't exactly what I call friendly. I've met sea urchins with better attitudes..

Reef: *slowly turns and looks at Kiwi*.......

Reef: *gives disapproving look and give a sigh* What would Miss Willow say if she could see you now? *to which Kiwi pouts, her ear giving a twitch. Reef would slowly pull his tentacles off of Kiwi's fur with little popping noises, while still keeping his arm around Mako* I think you know what to do, bra.

Kiwi: *rubs her face, funny little red marks showing along her cheeks*.... Sorry for hitting you with my board... and getting mad at you for an accident. It's just a "friendly competition"... *the last part sounding like she was quoting from something *

Mako: Apologies accepted. I'm, sorry for the harsh things I said, I didn't mean them. I'm just in a bit of a rush today is all..

Reef: See, isn't that better when we all can get along, dudes? Your auras are like... never been brighter, man. *Giving Mako a friendly squeeze*

Mako: *looks at the tentacle stuck to his face, his eye giving a slight twitch. It seemed to be holding on tighter than he thought it was* Yeah, that's.. uh.. nice. But I really should get going. *jabbing his thumb toward the direction of his house* If you wouldn't mind letting me go now, "Dude"...

Reef: *smacks his lips* Ya know bra, I would love to do that for you but I think I'm actually kind of stuck.. Your skin is really soft tho, mon.

Mako ........ What do you mean by "stuck"?

Reef: Ya know how you get a suction cup wet before sticking it on a smooth surface.. yeah I totally think that's whats happening now. Its all cool bra. *As he tries to pull a tentacle away, pulling at Mako's skin and making the suction even tighter*

Mako: *STARTLED DOLPHIN SQUEAK*

Kiwi: *facepalms* For the love of the sun goddess, Reef.... Here, let me help... *She gets in close and starts peeling back the tentacle on Mako's chest, using her finger to get under each suction cup and pop it off, leaving a bright red mark* .... This is gonna take a while....

Mako: ..... Name's Mako, by the way.... *Holding up his hand to shake*

Kiwi: *politely shakes his hand *... Kiwi Breeze, current reigning Equestrian-wide surfing champion, housewife, and mother. And this giant clingy goober is Coral Reef, he helps me teach surfing lessons when I'm not un-sticking him from ponies... *as she smirks*

Reef: Heh, I'm a hugger, not a fighter! What can I say, bra?

Mako: Well said, Heheh-- *extra loud squeak as another suction cup comes off*

Kiwi: *cringes* OOooooh, that one is gonna leave mark...

Meeting your mare-friend's mother for the first time (even if you don't even know it) is always an experience you don't really forget.
