Hmmmm, well I guess that would be when my family and I went into town to steal food. That was kind of like my first heist. I was six at the time. *chuckles* Yeah, they kind of started me off young.

*looks up at the sky as she remembers* Well, my family at the Thieves Den told me this when I got older. It was a cold December day when they went out to a road lying in wait for travelers. Just another day of stealing. Suddenly a coach comes barreling down the road. That's when they got to work. A couple of them jumped onto the back, unnoticed by the driver, and took all the valuable things they could find from the luggage. Which wasn't much. While one of them continued searching through the luggage trying to find something, the other one looked inside the coach and saw two people sleeping along with a basket sitting next to one of them. He carefully grabbed the basket without waking them up and they both jumped off the coach and headed back to the Thieve's Den. As they all celebrated the return of the thieves, they suddenly heard a sound coming from the stuff they had taken. A little cry. When they pulled the blanket off of the basket....... well, there I was. *smiles*

*chuckles* Pretty much. I mean, they did try to find the carriage but...... no luck. So the leaders of the Thieve's Den kept me until they could figure out what to do with me.... which I guess turned out to be raising me as their own. *smiles*

*smiles* What? You don't know anyone else who was accidently kidnapped by a bunch of thieves when they were a baby? *laughs*

Well, the family I had at the Thieve's Den I miss every single day. Now if you mean my birth family, well, it's kind of hard to miss people you never knew....

Happened?... Oh! No, nothing happened to them I just.... sort of left.... after I was cursed and all.

*looks at him and smiles* You sure, it's another one of those "long stories".

*sighs deeply as she begins her story* Well, the day that I was cursed was sort of my Intitiation day into the Thieve's Den. I had to steal something all on my own. My assignment was given to me by another member.... this one in particular who hated my guts. So when it was "steal something from the Magic Man" I really wasn't surprised. I just figured he gave me something hard thinking I couldn't do it.... I was wrong. I realized afterwards when I was cursed, he had set me up. He gave the Magic Man some cursed artifact and in exchange.... he had to use it on me. Thankfully, I didn't get the full measure of the curse otherwise I might have come out something way worse. Anyways, when I tried going back to the Thieve's Den for help...... he.......... he threatened that he would make sure that everyone else would be cursed if I returned. And so......... I left. *closes eyes tightly*

Yeah..... but I'm sure they're fine without me. They......... um........ think I'm dead. But that's what I wanted them to believe because if they knew the truth, they'd wanna try and help and.......... I was afraid he'd carry out his threat. Better they think I'm dead. *sighs*

*hugs him back and smiles* Thanks. They were the only family I ever knew and I wouldn't ever wanna do anything to put them in danger.......... even if it meant leaving.

*smiles* Thank you Vox, that's sweet. But really, I was the lucky one. I mean, a group of thieves accidentally kidnap a kid..... and raised her as their own. They could have just dumped me at some orphanage but...... they didn't.

Vox: You should know this better then I do, Serina. It wasn't just luck, there is an honor among thieves. They have a higher sense of morals, at least as far as criminals go. *chuckles*

*lightly laughs* For most people, getting kidnapped by thieves when they were a baby isn't thought of as lucky..... but I guess for me, it is. *smiles*

Vox: *laughs* I think it is. Everything happens for a reason. You were kidnapped, and now you're an amazing thief. You may have been cursed, but you've made new friends and gone on new adventures. You've even found a crush :3 There's a reason behind it all. -sigh- At least, that's how I see it.

Vox: *chuckle, then sighs* Alright. I was 12, I had just starting hunting on my own, without my brothers help. I was out gathering food, because we were supposed to have a big feast. All of our closest friends, people we trusted, were supposed to be there. I was walking home after hunting, and from a distance I could see our friends walk inside the house. I ran faster, excited to see them, including one girl in particular.... When I got to the door, I walked in on my closest friends, my family's closest and most trust individuals, slitting the throats of my mother.... father... and brother... I had my bow in my hand, arrows on my back, I knew I could take every last one of them out, or at least put up a fight..... but I froze there.... they laughed at me for freezing up in fear, and left me with the bodies of my family.... I could have killed them.... but I didn't.... instead I ran....

........ Vox, it's not your fault. Walking in on something like that....... would have been very hard. And getting yourself killed in the process wouldn't have helped any. Like you said, maybe things happen for a reason. Instead of staying and possibly getting killed yourself, well, maybe now your more ready for them if you ever come across them again.
