Description
The Gauntlet of Azareal, more commonly known as Mozenrath's Gauntlet in the Aladdin tv series. I was writing a fanfiction that combined the original animated Aladdin with the new live action version. I intended to include a couple cameos from the tv series. Mozenrath especially insisted on a larger role. And so, part way through the story, I realized that I needed to give his most notable accessory an upgrade.

So, the overall silhouette is the same, but I added more details. I added engravings meant to remind one of the elements, each stained accordingly. Also a couple powerful gems that could either be for decoration or have impressive powers of their own. I would like to think that Disney would come up with something similar if Mozenrath were to be put into live action.

I also gave the Gauntlet an actual name. I saw nothing in any of my research that provided any history or lore aside from the obvious. So, after some searching, I settled on Azareal, the traditional name for the Angel of Death. A rather fitting name considering what the Gauntlet did to Mozenrath's hand and his implied demise the last time we saw Mozenrath in the series.

I hope to one day get this colored properly if not actually attempt a digital version.
