Some Ten Minutes to Doom arts for ya. I dunno why, but I just love drawing weird, dark, sad things like this.And don't worry, Zim is going to be just fine.

Like others have been stating, Jhonen's thought of killing Zim, and perhaps bringing him half-way back by a magical pigs foot.
I was surprised, yet I wasnt, but just thinking about how Zim would have been a drooling zombie if it wasnt for Nickelodeon opposing Jhonen's thought.
I thank Nickelodeon for THAT. And pretty much that only. Most of the other choices they make aggervate me to death.

I agree. Although I think that if Nick hadn't put any restrictions on Invader Zim it probably would have been full of gore, swearing, and would have ended up on Adult Swim or something like that. I agree that most of Nick's controlling sucked, but if Jhonen's past comics and stuff are anything to go off of I can easily see Invader Zim going in that direction.

Did you know that Jhonen wanted Zim to die in the end because the show was going to be cancelled? But Nick didn't allow that and made him like in case THEY BRING THE SHOW BACK.

That would make me cry too, that's not a good way for the show to finish. I think Zim will find out his mission was a lie and will defend earth alongside Dib.(No ZADR) Just frenemies. I hope IZ does come back.
