Nuuuuu
Such drama between Starlight and Trixie always haha, their little fights, but they make great faces while they're at it. At least they seem to figure it out in the end, with some Twilight popping in.
But the poor plant, tho. Thrown out like that, Starlights plant waifu demoted to trash status.
Nothing really screamed to be painted throughout this episode, at least not in specific characters. Until this moment came along and solidified my choice on Starlight since I was leaning to painting her already anyway.
It's always an interesting puzzle to paint the expressions they make. Trying to add that extra dimension, and having to settle on a face shape.
Also, tears. Can't pass up the chance to make somepony cry.

It was said that with the fall of Philis, the friendship between Starlight and Trixie came to a violent end.
The only witness, Sunburst, was forced to keep quiet about the subject lest he suffers the same fate.
And so, as history has shown, with the fall of the great and powerful, comes the relapse of that of which they cared for.
As for Sunburst, His several attempts to break free of Starlights iron grasp failed and he eventually submitted to her will. Every day his mental state showed more and more strain until creatures began to question what was going on. When Twilight got word of this she when to confront her pupil only to see her selfishly mourning over friend/slaves suicide.
And I gonna stop right there cause I'm no good when it comes to descent into suffering and madness stories.

You know she could just have picked Phillis up in her magic and saved them. its not that hard to save a plant after a short fall. Just get a new pot and some soil.

I cannot believe they killed off Phyllis. She was set to become a fan-favorite character and to have major influence on coming events.

They had to. She was to powerful and the approaching final wouldn't be exciting with her still in the show.
