He was in prison for years and it's implied that it happened through torture but on the other hand it could have been self inflicted to prevent anyone recognizing him when he returned as The Count.
(I like to leave details like that up the the viewer so take your pick).

The new animatic is simply stunning! The amount of details you put in it, the backgrounds, the shading, the enormous amount of OC with different dresses of all kinds, the emotion it causes after watching.. I'm speechless.
While I was watching it it caused me to feel lots of excitement, but as long as I watched the more emotional I got, and by the end of it I simply started to cry. But it's actually a good thing, because you nailed to make the viewer care and get emotional about the characters.
And, oh, the moment when Monte Rainbow and Shycedes are dancing... It made my heart stop, and when Fernand looked at Monte Rainbow at the end made me already start thinking what's these two are up to.
The new designs of the conspirators are much more detailed than the older ones, and I really like how you changed Danglars's design, it's SO COOL!
It was worth all the waiting.
The only thing that I'm really sad about is that not all people who really wanted to be a background pony in the animatic won, and those who didn't win is now pretty jealous of those, who's or somewhere in the background, or dancing with the main characters...

Okey, I have to talk about this.
First of all, I knew why it would take a long time to finish something like this, It would have taken even longer if it was an Actuel Animation xD
But to see the difference between the first 4, and then a new video format comes out.
I was Astounded when i saw it. Like srsly, Full color, Full Shade, Everything!
The Transitsions between the 2 are Perfect allignet between them!
And the Emotions, Holy moly, Chicken Rolly.
Also, The little detail with Shy in his eyes. Gosh, That hurts!
This was so well done, and i have to give credit wheres due.
You 2 did quite the best job ever, Allways delivering the best!

This came out AMAZING, Shadow! I honestly couldn't stop watching it after I'd gone through it once~ And I can definitely see the improvement in your work when it came to your style when drawing the ponies. Overall, it was really good~ >w<
