With the opening of a local branch of Games Workshop in my home town I decided to get back into the games. Already possessing a Dark elf army, I was more in the mood for 40k and what better way to do this then collect Night Lords once again! I once played them when they were all metal models in the 90's during the 3rd edition of the rules so... it's been a while. The idea of this army is to make them as lore friendly with the Night Lords in the 40k Universe as possible so... No chaos gods meaning no possessed and no daemons, because after all if you read the lore, they don't believe in the Chaos Gods and treat any tainted by Chaos with utter disdain. (To be honest I don't see the appeal to go from a super solider to tentacle mess). So Chaos without the Shitty corruption of Chaos. So- many of my future models will be heavily converted, example I'm planning on making a Night Lords Terror Squad using rules of Khorne Berserkers and Obliterators using SM Centurion parts. Some may disagree with the ethos, in which case go get your own models...

Here are the first three members of my firs Night Lords Marine Squad, I need to add a few accessories and proper basing (Bluetac is a bad substituent). But so far, I'm quite happy with their progress.

I made sure they were taken in a rather extreme lighting for dramatic effect.
