omg, this is crazy cool. the title gives it a lot of meaning, but the composition on it's own is amazing.

Wow, i'm very suprised that this isn't based on 1984. It is a very famous novel written by George Orwell about a repressive futuristic regime. It's set in the year 1984, the "future" when it was published in 1949. I would have never made the connection between your photo and the book if I hadn't just read it, but they are very similar. The main character is looking for "proof" of what life was like in the past and that history is unalterable. There is even a reference to airplanes. I thought that your description was a direct quote from the book at first. I would definitely suggest you give it a try.

very very nice...
it reminds me of a WWII scene.
the effect that you gave it makes
it seem like there are hot fumes
coming underneathe the buildings.
anyway...its very nice, i like it.

Love the positioning of the plane, and how the buildings look like they're almost colapsing/imploding. GREAT SHOT! =]. Must feel good to get 4,000 more views than other days =]. Big change from Feb. 20th

vagrantriot In reply to aStormcrow [2006-03-01 17:08:09 +0000 UTC]
It's a book by Aldous Huxley about the dangers of cloning and a highly structured, controlled society. It's very interesting.

piebalds-elfhawk [2006-02-27 21:59:06 +0000 UTC]
Very eery, the writing suggests as if it is being viewed at a time so far in the future, when man has perhaps near destroyed itself and brought its achievements crashing down, and people find this and remark that such things as planes could exist, or even have existed...
Wonderful

i thought iยดd give it that description, since we arent THAT far away from that kind of future...or at least, destroying ourselves.
thanks a lot for your comment !

I thought it looked like a UFO photograph at first. Wonderful work with the blurring, makes it alot more surrealistic.
