Edit: 11.09.05 THANK YOU FOR 1,000 VIEWS GUYS!!A colab between~pat-mcmichael and myself. He did the line art, I did the colors. Sadly, the lineart is gone from his gallery and I can no longer link to it
It's from the "Spongeguard On Duty" episode, where Larry the Lobster mistakes SB for a fellow lifeguard, and SB doesn't mind because he thinks it makes him COOL... until he remembers he can't swim.
I've put it in a medium resolution Mac Wallpaper Format (1280x1024) in case someone would like to use it for wallpaper.
Be sure to give ~pat-mcmichael some kudos for his fantastic line art!!

Out of curiosity...is it kosher to draw the Spongey-boy without infringing on rights and all that legal stuff? I'm not one of those righteous banner wavers so I don't really care...I love your work. I'm just wondering if it's ok to draw someone else's cartoons and post them. ???

Drawings based on an existing work. For instance, characters owned by Marvel comics being drawn in original positions as homage to the original creator. Fanart images should be put into this category, regardless of other categorization factors. Fanart of anime characters, for example, should be submitted into this category rather than Anime.

Redrawing, repainting, or otherwise 'copying' the work of artists that have come before us is a very useful method for improving our own abilities as an artist. Thus, a complete reworking from scratch of an existing work is permissible, if used as a learning tool. This does not include tracing images.
