Oh my goddd! That's amazing! We love Spongebob! (me and my brothers)...Did you draw by pencil first, or outlined with pencil later? The colouring are just so pretty...Don't you go over the lines even sometime? That's probably my main problem with watercolours...

Thanks sweetie! I love Mr Pants too! Yes, I drew it with pencil first. I used a very hard lead pencil (6H) so the lines would be really light and then I outlined Patrick with a purply colored pencil after he was watercolored and dry (so the pencil would go over the top of the watercolor) and then I outlined SpongeBob with thick green watercolor after I had put down the yellow and it had dried. always do the lines after you lay down your main water color and it's dry, and I think you'll find it looks better. Hope that helps!

Thank you for saying that about my avitar being a non-depressing pic because that is EXACTLY why I did it!! When I came to DA I was aghast at all the dark images, and i thought I'd use my little SpongeBob oekaki that I'd done as my avitar, cuz he's so cute and happy and bright!! So thank you ver much for thinking that, too!!

Excellent technique! You just brought the biggest smile to my face, even though I don't care for the show either. It's nice to see something done in painting, of any media, for a change.
