After the success of the Kids' Dino Ranch (formerly Dinosaur Riding), suggestions poured in for a better, longer dinosaur riding experience. At first we considered extending the Ranch's riding time, but another flood of suggestions came in, arguing for a new way to stroll the Zoo - apparently some find the golfcarts too loud, even if they're electric. So we came up with an all-new solution: Dinoback Riding.

Nestled at the end of a side street behind shield bearers, the unassuming little attraction houses six Probactrosaurus specially trained to be ridden on. For the low, low price of $20 (or $10 if you're 10 to 18; anyone younger isn't allowed), you can take a calm, narrated tour on the back of these magnificent ornithopods, perched two meters (six feet) above ground. It's almost as if you're experiencing the Mesozoic through the eyes of a real dinosaur!

After the roughly two-and-a-half-hour tour of the Zoo (minus Theropod Trail for obvious reasons), your dinosaur will return to the attraction where you can a photo taken with your dinosaur. Printing this costs an extra $5.
