We were treated to a show from the USAF Honor Guard drill team. These guys are incredible. They perform with working M1 Garand rifles and real bayonnettes weighing in at 11 pounds and they toss them around like nothing. When I was in ROTC we practiced drilling. I spin an 11 pound drill rifle modeled after the 1903 A1 Springfield in my JROTC. I also spun an M14 before that. These guys are awesome but I still think the Marine Corps Silent Drill Platoon is epic!

I used to be in Color Guard and when the ROTC would come by and laugh at us, my friend (their peer "drill leader?") would let me try to spin his. GAWD! It was hard!
