How about playing with the background by adding a dark color to contrast her light face and hair?
Um, try it out digitally first; don't want to ruin the nice contrast between the hair and face already present.

You seem to be taking the whole "gay" theme quite seriously these days. I have never personally heard of the man. Or have briefly in a caricature book. But no rememberance at all. To me this is your usual style with a bit of a twist. A pretty grotesque caricature if I may blatantly add. Not bad (one can still tell it's her) but not pretty.
