Eye Color Pencil DrawingFinally done
Took me a lot longer than what i would normally use. I really wanted to push the detail in this one ( like drawing every single pore in the skin ) The technique i found during this drawing was : I work in layers and my first layer was done with markers - just to get the color going. Than i did a detail pass with color soft pencils from Derwent , they are great but they seem to be hard to blend.
After that i did a hard layer with water based color pencil from Derwent , i did not use any water with them i only used them as a blending tool top lay on the of the second layer. ( thats a super easy way i found to blend color soft pencils ) .
After all of that i did a new layer with normal graphite pencils, and they are super easy to lay on top of all of the other layers. Than i added another layer with white tattoo color just to make it more pop ( add the fleshy details on the skin pores )
That sums up in short how i did this drawing. I used about 30 hours to complete this one

I must ask. What brand of colored pencils do you use? I love everything thing about them. The shading, color, blending. I know it's not the colored pencils, but the artist.

I am just starting to work with colored pencils and am finding how much work it is to get such a good look as your work has. I have a much great respect, not only for your work, but for the speed you complete such great pieces.
