Description
Large Mandala made with SaltFinished this one today.
First of all i would like to thank you all for the overwhelming response /comments on my drawings yesterday. So many heartwarming comments and so much love given!I have read all comments on all my pages at least twice - thank you all! You guys are the best !! me and my family really appreciate it!
As you can see i finished another salt mandala - i like to work a lot when i want to take my mind of things and get distracted , and with recent events i really needed that a lot.
This one is way bigger and way more detailed and also more accurate than the first one i did the other day. Im still not that happy with the final result , but i do know what i have to do /change/ do different on the next one.
1. : I need to get a larger surface so i can make a even bigger one.
2. : I need to make more tools to help me do different patterns .
3. : Get better and finer salt to work with
Also this post here is my 1000 post on instagram - i cant believe how time flies . I have been there for the last 4 years or so and updated my instagram almost daily - i have even been longer on facebook and deviantart where the number on drawings is even higher that i have uploaded
My appreciation is endless to how much support i have gotten all these years, it really helped trough all the ruff periods in my life. Special thanks to the people who have followed me the longest and liked, commented and supported me from the beginning
Stay creative my friends!

It's so mesmerizing and I'm extremely impressed with the multitude of white orbs on this Mandala! I also noticed that you're using a blanket of some sort as the canvas. Is that easier than a hard surface or something?

So amazing for salt! If you view it from a distance, the details are so beautiful.

i wonder how it's like to know that after all this effort and great artwork you maybe need to ruin it because its made of salt and can't actually save it....
at least there are great photos!!!! well done.

Do you use something to harden it or do you have to spray it with anything as you go? I can imagine getting a good ways in and bumping it and having everything shift. :0 That would be a nightmare.

If it's just sitting on the cloth/tarp I would imagine having to start at the middle and work my way out; then hope no one tries walking on it
However, in the picture he's leaning on it, so either it's been set in somehow, or he's avoiding any direct pressure on the salt itself.

Yeah, it's gotta be set somehow otherwise the anxiety levels while working on it would be so high. :0 I'd be afraid of bumping the whole thing or my cat getting at it and licking the salt. haha I'd have to lock it in a room while I wasn't working on it.

This idea is amazing!
But something you could try too is to make a black and white picture this way.
Just an idea nothing important.

Damn how long does it take you to do?
I don't think I'd ever have the patience for anything like that xD Not to mention my hands are kinda shaky I'd probably end up trying so hard to focus, then mess something up and then just freak out and give up ^^"

Wow! This is so amazing! The pattern is so intricate, I would have had a hard time doing it with pencil and paper, let alone salt!
