Description
Old RecoloringThese both drawings are one and the same. And i have drawn this drawing about 5 years ago. Just a small recall on what i was doing few years back.
So the drawing on the left is a early pencil drawing of mine - when i was practicing all kinds of stuff with the pencils. The one on the right is the same drawing just colored in ( after i gained some more knowledge on how to use the pencils )
I think its fun to see and reflect on the old work we do to see how we have improve. It would be almost fun to go once again over the same drawing 5 years later with the knowledge i have today and see how much more better i can make it.
The thing is - i used a wrong paper ( regular printing paper ) so i would just tear it up if i would work more on it. And the drawing today is sun damaged since it was hanging in the window all this time
Update on my secret project : so far 12 brand new large drawings have been done

I prefer the original, it looks more photorealistic.

Woah that is fantastic to see such a huge difference on the same piece of paper. Marvellous!
What colouring pencils do you use?

Really awesome and realistic! It is always impressive how you can give each artwork a special character as well as emotion. The most impressive is the fact how you draw fur or skin. Those white speckles and mirroring in all your drawings look pretty difficult to draw. When I draw an animal with oil based pencils I always have the problem to keep its fur bright or with mirrored expressions from its enviroment.
I draw on priting paper and always search for the right pencils. Can I ask you a question? Which paper should I use for drawing animals or people with oil based pencils, such as Faber Castell? I always have the problem that in the art market, there are so many papers and they are pretty expensive for a student. So, before I buy the wrong, I wanted to ask professional artists which paper they would recommend.
