Description
An updated reference sheet of the Autobot starship, the Ark, for my Transformers Beyond series with a slightly updated design. Unlike the old reference sheet, Teletraan I isn't showcased here, but he'll get his own reference sheet sooner or later.Ship Name: Ark

The Ark was the Autobots' best and final hope. This ship played a major part in Cybertron's Great Exodus, carrying a skeleton crew led by Optimus Prime in an expedition to discover the AllSpark and other energy resources to help in the war effort and perhaps repair their dying homeworld. Unfortunately, Megatron's flagship, the Nemesis, launched a surprise attack at them in the Omega Quadrant, and a space battle between both sides ensued as the Decepticons boarded the Ark. The struggle between both factions led to their ships being pulled into the gravity well of a nearby planet, soon known to be Earth. The Ark plummeted through the planet's atmosphere and then crash-landed on the side of a volcano (referred to as "Mount St. Hilary" in the modern day) in North America, knocking everyone aboard into stasis lock. Four million years, in the year 1984, Mount St. Hilary erupted, reactivating Teletraan I. Damaged by the ship's crash and unable to detect organic lifeforms, Teletraan revived both Optimus Prime's Autobots and Megatron's Decepticons to transform into the machines it perceived as the planet's dominant lifeforms. After both factions were revived, the Decepticons fled to find their own means of operation, while the Autobots remained within their own starship, revamping it into their new headquarters, with the main on-board computer, designated Teletraan-1, and its shell program/security system A.U.N.T.I.E., on standby for any vital emergencies.

Lesser known personal picked by Prowl, not Optimus Prime, also traveled aboard the Ark. Before the Ark's launch, these 7 had their sparks and brain modules removed and placed in the ship's mind bank to serve as reserve warriors. In the year 1985, as more Decepticons began arriving on Earth, Optimus Prime, realizing the need of more troops, ordered Wheeljack to set up the mind bank to reactivate the secondary Autobots in newly-constructed bodies.

Matrix Chamber Support Personal - 100 unborn Autobot protoforms
Before the launch of the Ark 4 million years ago, Optimus Prime ordered a hundred Protoforms to placed within the lower decks of the Ark to serve as support personnel that were to be brought online whenever he saw fit to even the ranks against the Decepticons. Optimus lamented that while they should be Cybertron's next great generation, they would wind up being used as an army of last resort if they failed to keep the AllSpark from Decepticon hands. In the year 1985, four of the Protoforms were given to new life as new members of the Dynobots, when they arrived on Earth.
