RWBY chibi is really hit and miss in my opinion. I mean Ruby baking cookies? Whatever that Weiss vs Yang was...And in the latest episode Blake is a cat-burglar?Really? Dont get me started on the whole yarn thing. But then there are gems like this, Weisskating and angry Jaune that make it worthwhile. Hopefully they'll see what works and what doesn't and stick with that.

those of us who went to the vol. 1 screenings got sneak peaks at the episodes with beta weisskating (with only Ruby in the pool) and the pickle jar massacre of 2016. the show is honestly the most enjoyable watching with friends or a large group of people. i totally understand the "hit or miss" ideology considering that's a major thing with comedy (its different depending on the person), I'm guessing its a "if you like puns, you'll LOVE this" type show so its pandering to my demographic
Hopefully, like you said, they will find what works and go for it
