Description
Lelouch Vi Britannia aka Lelouch Lamperouge aka Zero is the main protagonist in Code Geass. The former prince of the Britannian empire he faked his death during an assassination attempt and started to live as the bored chess hustler Lelouch Lamperouge. Through a short chain of events he saved the life of the Witch CC and was granted super powers which allowed him to use his skills as a chess hustler for terrorism and he became first the deface leader of the Tokyo resistance and eventually the leader the Japanese resistance as a whole. Lelouch while a terrorist attempts to hold himself to a very high standard and thinks of his group as knights for justice rather than a resistance group. Lelouch is a master strategist and manipulator but at times can personalize things too much and ends up thinking of allies simply as means to an end. He does however mean the best in what he does and his revenge is tempered by the idea of doing what's right.

I had considered Charlie Heaton for this role when i was first recasting Code Geass, but i ended up thinking that i couldn't see him doing Lelouch's leadership skills since his character in Stranger Things was so anti social. Since in season 2 he's gotten enough character development to move away from the awkward loner trope, i thought i would upload this as an alt to my main choice. Charlie is english and he's shown himself to be very capable of playing very thoughtful action/sci-fi roles. I can see him as a character like Lulu who's thinking things out in advance and doing planning. I think he also showed the emotionality needed to play Lulu's 'out for revenge side' as well.
