Lelouch Vi Britannia alias Lelouch Lamperouge aka the Terrorist Zero, the is the main protagonist of Code Geass. Lelouch is youngest son of the emperor of Britannia who was presumed dead since the British Invasion of Japan in Truth he reinvented himself as Lelouch Lamperouge and strand living a quiet life outside public life. Eventually he saved the immortal witch CC who granted him Geass (in his case the ability to use limited mind control). With his newfound powers Lelouch became Zero a terrorist who quickly became the leader and the face of the Japanese resistance. On top of his superpowers he's a chess master who has the ability to apply his skills at Chess to asymmetrical warfare. Lelouch has a very strong sense of right and wrong and views his acts of terrorism as right since they are in promoting justice.

I was torn between Freddie who everyone knows can play Crazy and do confident or somebody else who i thought could better portray how smart Lelouch is but in the end I decided to keep Freddie since i thought i could see him doing more parts of Lulu's personality than the other guy. Freddie Highmore is of course the english actor who played Norman Bates in Bates Motel and even though he is a little older than i would have liked to have gone since Lulu is only about 18 i think in the end he's the best person for the role. He's young British and has proven himself a great actor at playing mentally unstable and just plain insane villains or anti-heroes depending on how you would view Norman in the TV series (he also played the young hero in The Spiderwick Chronicles) . I also think from what he did he would very easily be able to command Lulu's confidence and arrogance as Zero.
