Description
Kaname Ohgi is was the leader of the Tokyo Resistance before it was coopted by Lelouch into becoming The Black Knights. Before the Britannian Invasion he was a school teacher which is where he got his initial leadership skills. He remains the 2nd in command of the Black Knights throughout the series and since Lelouch as Zero is the inegmaeitc ideas man Ohgi is still the main field Commander and remains the person who the members see as their leader since he was there original one. Kaname is trained himself in various forms of combat as needed to be a resistance fighter but has net to become anything close to a combat specialist. He also does a good job of Balancing out motivations as a Japanese patriot to Lelouch's goals of destruction.

I didn't get around to casting Ohgi the first time I attempt to cast Code Geass so this was really fun to finally do since I really liked him as a character. Mostly for matters of conveience I thought that it would actually make a lot of sense to cast Asian-American/Asian-European actors in Code Geass I think my failure of making my first cast was how little I knew of Japanese film and tv actors. Steven Yeun is of course the wonderful actor known for his portryal of Glen on The Walking Dead, Glen was a character who did at numerous times prove himself a leader (in terms of zombie apocalypse survivors) so why not extrapolate that to cast Steven in other kind of leadership roles. So resistance leader seems like a good fit for him. I can also see him as a teacher in flashbacks pretty easily too.
