I got this idea this morning, like you see a nice sunny piece of scenery. But the lake is showing a reflection of a storm instead. Like the impact the storm left is still felt, even when the sun's shining. IDK.
ETA: Added a person in to make the point more...obvious, I guess. There are some anatomy mistakes (that's one deformed looking arm), but I don't really care. xD

This piece stinks. It does. Took me, like...IDK, maybe an hour and a half. If that. But I'm posting it anyway.
I don't think I put the focus on the water enough.

I need to get off my lazy butt and work on requests XP

Feedback very much wanted--what could I have done to improve this? Does it give the impression I intended?

I would carve out more form, especially when landscapes are the topic. think of sculpture and the way everything has so many shapes/sides ("facets"). Use your shading and lighting to give things form. This looks flat to me, though I must say its SO nice to see you expanding your work subject matter and style wise

Neat concept, btw.

go get Bob Ross DVDs from the library, really XD

orrr speedpaintingssss/time lapse painting videos on youtube.
