HOORAY! Finished at long last! I am really happy with how this has turned out
I have no idea how long it has been a sketch for but I'm really glad that I've finally finished it
This is the part in Eldest when Eragon and Saphira come face to face with Glaedr and Oromis: The Criple who is Whole.
I feel that this is the most important part in the whole book because Eragon learns of the heritage of the Dragon Riders and he also discovers that, aside form himself and the king, he is not alone anymore.
I used what skills I had learned from tafe to use in this painting and the blobs of pink and red and green is the red clover field they meet Oromis and Glaedr in.
I hope you can all see the scale of Glaedr against Saphira, because he is quite a large dragon since he is hundreds of years old and Oromis on his back is taller than Eragon, so he is a big dragon
and very beautiful and majestic

Absoloutly fantastic....beautiful, and so vivid in emotion, eragon on his knees,....well done this is fantastic!!! Glaedr's missing limb i've never been able to imagine apart from no leg at all but a small white bump, but this makes it more real, more like how it was described. Your work has stunned me!

I didn't know how else to describe the missing limb aside from the small white stump, which it was originally before I added shadows and highlights with the rest of his body and so forth.

layers are important and so is patience
mixing colours and having reference is always a key thing when you're painting or drawing.
To be honest I really only learnt how to paint last year so it's all a bit new to me
I'm not sure what else to give other than keep at it and give it your best each time!
