Description
In the early nightthe people leave the movies
still talking about what they just saw.
Only a few hang back and remain
in the red felt chairs,
scattered through the theater-
Row M, seat 4
Row P, seat 10
Row Q, seats 6 and 13.
After a minute it becomes clear that
these people aren't leaving-
something’s going on.
As the lights begin to fade
a black-haired lanky boy
working in the cinema, a cheap summer job
hurries down the aisle,
soda and popcorn in hand
to his seat (Row A, seat 2)
eagerly awaiting this night’s
double feature.
