I grew up riding a welsh pony named Beau, at the riding school. I was one of the first students allowed on him, he was only 4. Lots of get up and go, and soooo affectionate. He was one of those horses where even if he was startled and bolted, if I came off, he'd immediately come back and wait for me to get up. He was just lovely. I wish my parents could have bought him, but we didn't have enough money to own a horse
