Description
Suburban summer nightswith near-starless skies
Sinless stories shared aloud
to wide, glassy eyes
"Did you hear?" they ask with glee,
sifting through the haze
Of orange, florescent nights
and cookie-cutter days.
"Something happened elsewhere...
something not the same..."
Chaos stirs so far away
spread by winds of fame
If inspiration flickers bright
to burn before it dies,
Onlookers look back to screens
with disappointed sighs.
Creation and chaos here
cannot fit the mold
Get along with those around
and do as you're told.
Glassy eyes whisper softly
"Now what should we do?"
If time were a spectacle
We'd just be passing through.
