I wanted to write you a poem
to make you feel better
but I couldn't find the words
Only feel your pain
and add it to mine
I wish that you could feel better

Sometimes I just want to say
"At least your not me"
But I know it wont help
Because I know
Nothing ever helps

You can only hold on and hope for the best
There's nothing you can do
Because every try
Feels like a failure
So hold on
Because nothing ever helps

Just know
Don't waste your wishes
Because chances are you wont see that star again
And things change every day
But know that a wish spent on you
is never wasted

They say crying wont help
it probably doesn't
but it hurts more when you don't let it out
so say what you feel
And always know that you can tell me
and I'll keep your dreams tucked away

Wounds you cant see
take longer to heal
but they'll heal
I promise you
Someday you'll wake up and forget
Take my word
I know
I've been there

And if things get better
And the wounds heal
just know that I'm happy for you
But guard your heart
and make sure you don't get hurt again
Because I feel your pain too

If the wounds don't heal
If they come back
If new ones are made
come borrow my shoulder
and I'll try to make it better
even if it never ever works
Because I've been there
and felt that pain
I'm still there
