As fun as it is, I don't think it's really exaggerated. It always pissed me of that they needed to make him talk like a street gang member just because he was black.

Pretty much my thoughts exactly. He would have been a great character, and a wonderful foil for the armies of overwrought others in ME2, if it weren't for his borderline painful writing.
