Build

Vulcan is exactly the breed ideal, his only variation being that he’s slightly on the lighter side.

—————

History

Vulcan was bred in Australia, and from a young age, he’s always shown incredible drive and determination.

—————

Personality

Vulcan is an incredibly smart, quick-on-his-toes animal. He’s very sensitive and listens to the smallest gesture from his rider, but this also makes him an incredible horse to ride once you really get a feel for him. When approaching a jump, he listens and responds to even the smallest adjustment from his rider. But this also means he needs a quiet and very precise rider, as he puts all of his trust into the hands of his handler, and it upsets him when he doesn’t understsnd what they’re asking from him. He’s extremely determined to do well, proving to be the most competitive horses we’ve ever seen. He’ll jump anything, and is pretty much bomb-proof. On the ground, he’s attentive and placid. When he knows he’s being walked to the arena to be worked, he tends to start dragging his handler there without realizing it, but if you ask him to slow down, he will with no complaints.

—————

Style

Vulcan is a very fast, pace-setting horse. He’ll listen and try his best if his rider asks him to compact and hold a slow pace, but in the end, he’s just naturally quick. Over jumps, he always holds his front and hind legs tightly together, no matter what size they are. With how smart he is, it’s almost as he understands he’s being set against the clock, as he’s careful to never over-jump any more than he needs to, keeping his time over the fences to a minimum. He usually stays collected at the walk and the trot, and he will when he’s being asked to at a slow canter. But, he prefers to have a more extended headset at the canter. He has a quicker, bouncier trot, but sitting his canter is a dream.
